Abstract

The main objective of this study is to estimate the impact of investment in human capital on Algeria's economic growth for the period (1970-2016), using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag model (ARDL. Public expenditure on education was used as an indicator of investment in human capital. The results of the research indicated the existence of a long-term equilibrium relationship between investment in human capital and economic growth, with a positive and significant impact as opposed to the short term, which shows a negative impact.
