The Contribution of Transformational Leadership to the Success of Change in Organizations

An Exploratory Study on a Sample of Algerian Commercial Banks' Employees

Abstract

This study aims to identify the transformational leadership in banking organizations and its role in supporting the banking change policy.  In order to achieve the objectives of the study; a set of hypotheses were developed and a questionnaire was assigned to them and distributed to the study sample. The data was treated with the SPSS software. A set of results were obtained, the most important among them being that of the existence of disparities between the opinions of the sample questioned on the importance of transformational leadership and organizational change and its approaches. A set of results were obtained, the most important among them being that of the existence of disparities between the opinions of the sample questioned on the importance of transformational leadership and organizational change and its approaches.Un ensemble de résultats a été obtenu, le plus important d'entre eux étant celui de l'existence de disparités entre les opinions de l'échantillon interrogé sur l'importance du leadership transformationnel et du changement organisationnel et ses approches.A set of results was obtained, the most important among them is that of the existence of disparities between the opinions of the sample questioned the importance of transformational leadership and organizational change and its approaches.They reveal, among other things, the presence of a positive, direct and significant effect between transformational leadership and the dimensions of organizational change in the commercial banks studied. The study also recommended disclosure of information to employees to help shape and sketch a vision for the future of banking services and to adapt to banking variables.
