The results show that BRICS’s trade contributes positively, but not substantially, to economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa. The strong demand for natural resources favors this growth, especially in countries with high resources. But, strong demands of African countries' manufactured products significantly inhibit local production levels. The results of the study suggest that African leaders work to transform these natural resources more or less extensively before they are exported. This transformation leads to greater added value while limiting imports of natural resources into manufactured products.
